Suggested Student Objectives
SW to explain the changes in each season in relationship to the weather
SW identify plural nouns as having the "s" suffix in regular nouns
SW blend and read words with the 'sh', 'wh', and 'ph' digraphs and a medial short vowel sound.
SW read contractions with 's' and 'n't'.

Activities
Using magnetic letters, teacher will dictate words with the "sh", "wh" and "ph" digraphs sounds to students. Students will form that word with letters.
Choose a season. Write a topic sentence and three supporting details. Draw a picture to match the season you chose.

Assessments
Spelling and Journey's Lesson 13 Weekly assessments.
Score writing based upon a topic sentence, supporting details and a closing sentence that correctly relate the to the chosen season.
