SW summarize story selection by stating two main ideas with supporting details.
SW be able to read this week's spelling words that follow a CVC (short vowel sound /a/) pattern in the decodable readers.
SW be able to identify a noun as a person, place, thing or animal.
SW be able to label drawings with a focus personality trait.

Activities:

Draw a picture of a favorite friend. Label the drawing with the friend's name and one word that describes why you like to play with this special friend.
Using magnetic letters, teacher will dictate one CVC word with a medial short /a/ sound to students. Students will form that word with letters and then make rhyming words following the pattern.
